VIZIO VP505XVT Plasma TVThe integrated frame of the VIZIO VP505XVT plasma screen makes the images take on an excellent 3D quality. The frame's thinner than most but, due to design, has much more impact! Plasma TV viewing angles are better than LCD's.

Although older plasma models had reflective problems. Newer models, like this one, are equipped with filters, successfully reducing the problem quite substantially. The screen also has integrated, twin, 10w speakers. Plus your basic button controls, and a couple of HDMI input sockets.

At the back you'll find an array of color coded connectors. Including two extra HDMI sockets, a S-Video input and VGA PC input. However, they're about as conveniently situated as ever. When will those designers get it sorted? There are 3 service ports, with a warning from VIZIO not to touch! They're for "Factory Authorized Service", ONLY! Cable TV can be connected and tuned, via the RF socket.

The VIZIO VP505XVT does not access online content, have an SD card reader, or USB port. It does have excellent PIP and POP features. But it's not possible to watch two TV channels aside each other. The multi media remote control is easy to use, capable of supporting four media devices at once, and the buttons have a backlight that looks good too! Altogether, the VIZIO VP505XVT is a bit of a mixed blessing.
