Having a television that can do absolutely everything you would ever want is every TV owners dream and Mitsubishi may have the answer to all of your prayers.

The WD-73827 is 73" of pure enjoyment. Not only is this television huge (making it perfect for watching, well, ...anything) - but it is built with DLP HDTV and has 160GB of storage giving you enough room to record all of your favorite television shows on the built in DVR recorder. Okay, so it may not come with everything (like a DVD player) - but a DVR is good enough for us.

The television is built with NTSC and ATSC tuners - which allow you watch one program while recording another one. As we stated before the DVR has 160GB of storage that allows you to record around 16 hours of high definition programs and more than that if they are standard. It also gives you the ability to pause the live TV that you are watching.

The WD-73827 supports a resolution of 1,920x1,080 and has the ability to convert any signal to 1080p. When it comes to picture quality you can bet that you are getting 73" of pure goodness. Every detail can be seen whether it be in the day or night time. The black levels are set to allow you to see even the darkest of scenes. Plus you can watch in six different picture formats.

A large screen and great picture quality isn't everything, if you don't have the right speakers to go with it yoy may feel disappointed. Unfortunately the speakers on this Mitsubishi television are less then perfect. The two 1 ½ inch two way speakers only give out 20 watts. It's a bit disappointing - but the connections that can be hooked up to the television may just make up for that. There are the S-video and composite video inputs, three video component video inputs, two HDMI with DVI stereo inputs, and a CableCard slot.

The price of the WD-73827 is around $4950, which in our opinion is a bit steep for having such poor stereo quality. Of course you can always fix that problem by buying a good set of speakers that will give you surround sound to go with your movie. The television does have good picture quality and a decent amount of features to make this television worth your while.
