Panasonic SC-BT100: New home theater set with a Blu-ray player

In July big time manufacturer Panasonic will release the SC-BT100 a new home theater set-up onto the market, this may be of interest not only to general users but possibly enthusiasts as well. The entertainment system, besides having two front speakers, subwoofer Center and a Blu-ray player, will, according to the press release by the manufacturer boast a "superior" image quality in the domestic living room situation.

This set would incorporate an integrated decoder, specially adapted sound formats like Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD. The sound package is also equipped with a direct connection for iPods and an integrated RDS radio.

The Panasonic SC-BT100 has a total capacity of 1,000 watts. The included multimedia player will not only to play Blu-ray discs. It also reads DVD and CD formats as well as MP3, JPEG and DivX files. With the integrated 1080p, upscaling function can accommodate conventional DVDs in HD. A Picture in Picture feature allows film lovers additional content with the Blu-ray Disc, such as director's comments, in a separate window.
